Unusual Cruises from San Diego

San Diego is the starting point for several rare and special cruises. This sunny California city seems to be a natural departure port for voyages to destinations around the globe.

Round-trip cruises to Australia and New Zealand are completely unheard of, but Holland America Line has one scheduled for January 2024. The 94-day mega-cruise leaves from San Diego and visits Hawaii and the South Pacific as well as 25 ports in Australia and New Zealand. Holland America Line also offers a 51-day trip from San Diego to Hawaii and the islands of the South Pacific in October 2023.

Princess Cruises' 20-day round-trip cruise to Central America leaves in November 2022, and visits Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala and Mexico. Princess' one-way cruise to Japan departs in February 2023 and includes stops at Hawaiian islands.

Windstar has a one-way cruise from San Diego to Tahiti. The 13-day voyage departs September 19, 2022. Learn all about cruises from San Diego.

New Ship for Galveston Cruises
