New Disney World Hotel

The new Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek (such a mouthful) is now open "inside the gates" of the Disney World Resort. Communal amenities include spa, health club, golf course, big swimming pool, four restaurants, a couple of bars and complimentary transport to the Disney parks.  Guest rooms are equipped with 40" LCD TVs, mini-fridge, black granite bathroom, and Wyndham's "Be Well" bedding.  All with a Mediterranean-inspired design and color scheme.  Cool.

 

 

"World's Largest Cruise Sale" October 17-23

25 cruise line members of Cruise Lines International Association and over 5,000 travel agencies throughout the U.S. and Canada team up for National Cruise Vacation Week beginning October 17. For cruise shoppers this means potential savings of $100 to $5,000, credits for shipboard spending valued at $50 to over $300, upgrades to suite accommodations, or other incentives such as complimentary shore excursions or deposit waivers. This Week's New (or Improved) Hotels

The iconic Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites Los Angeles (that group of silver cylinders next to the 110 in downtown LA) is celebrating the completion of their largest renovation ever.  Everything from 1,200+ guest rooms to suites to restaurants to pool to meeting space to lobby has been given a redesign.  They're holding some "Open House" events in October so that we all can join the celebration.

The 187 guest rooms and suites of the Doubletree by Hilton Charlotte have been given a thorough renovation, with a modernized design, improved lighting and furniture and new Citron "body and bath amenities".  The Doubletree is located on the northwest side of downtown Charlotte, next door to Johnson and Wales University.
