Orlando Resort Hotels

As if the amusement parks of Orlando aren't enough, many of the biggest hotels in the area are mini (and not-so-mini) resorts by themselves.  Water parks, multiple restaurants, golf courses and transportation to those amusement parks are just some of the amenities found at the top resort hotels in Orlando.  Our newest site, The Real Resorts, makes it easy to compare hotel rates offered by hundreds of online booking sites for your next trip to Orlando and thousands of other cities.

Mediterranean Cruise Season

The peak season for Mediterranean cruises begins in May and you can find unusually good prices this year. Several companies have voyages for less than $100 per night per person, which is a good deal. Highlights of the 2012 Mediterranean cruise season include 7-day western Mediterranean cruises on the huge Norwegian Epic, 10-night eastern Mediterranean cruises on the sophisticated Celebrity Equinox, 12-day Mediterranean Romance cruises on Holland America's Nieuw Amsterdam, and 12-day Grand Mediterranean cruises on the Ruby Princess. See our overview of 2012 Mediterranean cruises for more vacation ideas.

This Week's New (or Improved) Hotels

TRYP New York City Times Square South is now open on 35th Street in Manhattan.  It's the first "TRYP by Wyndham" hotel to open in the U.S.  The 173 guest rooms are all very modern in design.  Special accommodations include two "Fitness" rooms with stationary bikes, 23 "Family" rooms that accommodate 6-8 guests and two "Samsung Experience" rooms with 55" 3D TV's, surround sound, Wii game system and a popcorn machine.

Element Miami International Airport is now open near the airport.  It brings the Element style (think "boutique" and "trendy" on a budget) to the area near the new Miami Central Station (scheduled to open in April) that will provide a rail connection between the airport and downtown Miami.  Guests can expect a "hearty, healthy" complimentary breakfast, 24 hour fitness center and complimentary evening receptions.
