Cruise Ship Debuts in 2025
|
|
The Cruise Nexus has the schedules for a bunch of new ships that will be beginning their careers in 2025:
Royal Caribbean's Star of the Seas begins weekly cruises out of Port Canaveral beginning on August 31, 2025. It will rotate between two different itineraries to the eastern and western Caribbean.
Celebrity Xcel (a ship, not a spreadsheet) will be based a few miles further south in Fort Lauderdale. Beginning next November it'll also have two different itineraries that emphasize the east and west sides of the Caribbean.
If we go one more port southward we'll find MSC World America based in Miami starting in April. She'll be making - yep, you guessed it - 7-night trips to the Eastern Caribbean and Western Caribbean. You can combine two consecutive trips for a mega-14-day
adventure.
Virgin Voyages' Brilliant Lady will be a little more adventurous. This new "Lady" begins with several cruises out of New York, but by the end of 2025 will have also departed from Quebec City, Miami and Los Angeles.
Princess Cruise's Star Princess will begin with a couple of Mediterranean tours out of Barcelona in October before traveling across the Atlantic for a winter of Caribbean cruises out of Fort Lauderdale. In 2026 Star Princess will spend the summer cruising to Alaska
from Seattle.
