We're back to excellent combinations: Today is National Breadstick Day and World (World!) Pasta Day. It is also National Greasy Foods Day, but don't feel that you have to make greasy pasta or breadsticks.

New Year Cruises from Florida
|
|
It's not too late to book a New Year's Day cruise from Florida. Celebrate the arrival of 2025 on a cruise ship, and escape the cold of winter.
We found the best deals on Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, Norwegian, Princess and Royal Caribbean. Departures available out of Tampa, Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale.
The best deal on a per-day basis is a 12-day cruise on Princess for $1039. A New Year cruise for less than $100 per day is very rare! It is round-trip from Fort Lauderdale to Aruba, Curacao, Cartagena (Colombia), the Panama Canal (partial transit), Colon (Panama), Limon (Costa Rica) and Ocho Rios (Jamaica).

20-Day Tour of the Adriatic and Mediterranean

This extended cruise aboard Crystal Serenity departs from the port near Athens, visits some Greek islands, hits historic Adriatic port cities in Croatia and Montenegro, makes stops in several Italian cities and even makes a port call in France, all before ending in Barcelona.

Many "small ship cruise lines" limit themselves to rivers, bays and other inland waterways. While Windstar Cruises does offer some of those kinds of cruises they're not afraid to make trips that sail across the open waters of seas and oceans. Windstar's
ships are about 1/10th the size of the biggest ocean-going ships, with somewhere between 140 and 350 guests.
Their ships sail out of some of the big European ports such as Barcelona, Piraeus and Civitavecchia but their smaller size means they can also navigate their way to and from places like
Bordeaux, France
. Wind Star, Wind Surf and Wind Spirit are true "sailing ships", with four tall masts helping propel the ships when weather permits. Windstar's "private yacht style" ships don't lack in luxury and they specialize in the types of land excursions that are only possible from smaller ports of call.
