An Inaugural Transatlantic Trip
|
|
Star Princess joins the Princess Cruises fleet in October. After a couple of tours of the Mediterranean out of Barcelona, she'll make the trip across the Atlantic to Fort Lauderdale. This 14-night cruise departs Barcelona on October 22nd. Star Princess
will then spend the winter making Caribbean cruises out of Port

There are quite a few destinations for one-way cruises that begin in Miami, but one of the most popular are trips through the Panama Canal from Miami to Los Angeles. You'll find these cruises offered by most of the big cruise companies, including Norwegian, Seabourn, Viking and Regent Seven Seas. They range from
15 to 22 days in length (and Seabourn offers an extended version of 42 nights that includes a trip to Hawaii).
If you've already done the Panama Canal thing, maybe you'd like to try going the other direction, across the Atlantic. The most common destinations for these eastbound transatlantic cruises are Barcelona and
Southampton
(about 70 miles southwest of London).
